LOUISVILLE'S MOST OVERLOOKED
OVERLOOK IS ABOUT TO GET A
WHOLE NEW LOOK

INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT
A Welcome from Mayor Greenberg
The Belvedere Plaza sits atop the largest parking garage in the city, heavily used for events at the YUM! Center, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, conferences, and by visitors throughout the downtown area. This garage must and will be fixed. While we are at it, we want to reimagine the Belvedere and transform it into an iconic new destination.
The Belvedere is Back.

BELVEDERE'S HISTORY
The Belvedere through the Years
Developing this site for the public good was proposed as early as 1931, and after numerous iterations, the Doxiatis-designed Riverfront Plaza and Belvedere was opened to the public on April 27, 1973. Mayor Frank Burke dedicated the site to the children of Louisville.
